Postgate Farm Holidays (henceforth referred to as 'PFH') will accept reservations for accommodation via this on-line service ONLY on the following conditions (your normal statuory rights are not affected):

RESERVATION

  • Accommodation may be reserved provisionally by submitting a fully completed reservation form as provided on the PFH website.
  • Only reservations for dates and accommodation marked as available on the 'Availability' pages of the PFH website will be accepted.
  • On submitting a reservation form a communication will be sent to the originator agreeing the details submitted and detailing the deposit required to confirm the reservation.
  • Proffered (and available) dates, once received by PFH, will be held for a maximum period of 14 days during which time the full deposit must be received by PFH for the accommodation requested. Provided the required deposit is received within this period the accommodation will then be considered reserved and confirmation details will be sent to the originator. If the required deposit is not received within this period then the dates held will be returned to the 'available' state and the original reservation request cancelled.
  • All reservations are made on a 'First Come, First Served' basis, and no guarantee can be given that any availability shown on the website is true for any particular date. Every effort is made to keep the website up to date and accurate but PFH cannot guarantee such accuracy for periods of less than 3 days duration.

CONFIRMATION

  • Upon receipt of required deposit, accommodation reserved provisionally will be deemed confirmed and notification sent to the originator via email or post. Such confirmation is deemed to be a contract between PFH and yourself and is subject to these conditions.
  • Once confirmed, reservations may only be changed by resubmitting the original booking request, including any changed data, and such resubmission will be subject to the same reservation conditions. Changes to any of the dates originally booked shall be deemed to constitute a cancellation of the original reservation and may be subject to cancellation penalties.

CANCELLATIONS

  • Cancellations should be made initially by telephone to PFH and should be followed as soon as possible thereafter by written confirmation.
  • Deposits received by PFH are not refundable in any circumstances once a booking confirmation has been issued.
    If the balance of rental has not yet been paid then PFH reserve the right to charge you for the accommodation in full.
    Where the full balance of rental has already been paid, then PFH will retain such monies pending any successful re-letting of the accommodation.
  • PFH will endeavour to re let cancelled accommodation dates to other parties and if successful in doing so, a refund of the balance will be returned to you. If the accommodation can not be re let then such monies already paid are forfeit.
  • In circumstances beyond the control of PFH ( Force Majeure), PFH may cancel your booking, and shall not be liable either jointly or individually for any changes, effect on your holiday, loss or damage suffered by you, or for any failure of PFH to perform any of their respective obligations to you due to any event or circumstance which is beyond the control of PFH. By way of example, Force Majeure includes fire, flood, exceptional weather conditions, epidemics, destruction or damage to the property from whatever cause (other than the negligence of PFH) and all similar situations. In appropriate cases PFH will refund all monies paid in respect of the accommodation booked. No other compensation, claim for expenses or for alternative accommodation costs will be paid by PFH in any circumstances.

PAYMENTS

  • A sum equal to 30% of the total accommodation costs for the period booked is required as deposit to reserve self catering accommodation.
  • Serviced accommodation (B & B) requires a deposit of £30 per room.
  • The balance of accommodation costs must be paid in full not later than 4 weeks prior to the first date booked.
  • Payments should be made in GB pounds and may be paid by Cheque/Postal Order, made payable to 'J & M Thompson'
  • Late bookings(less than 4 weeks prior) , and bookings made on the same day for accommodation shall be paid for in full on booking.

LIABILITY

  • PFH shall have no liability for any death or personal injury or any loss of, or damage to, personal property unless caused through the negligence of PFH or any of its employees. You must take all reasonable steps to safeguard your personal property whilst on PFH property
  • All accommodation described on this web site is accurately conveyed as at the time of the last published update of this website. There may , from time to time be small detail differences between the accommodation portrayed on this website and that available for rent. Where any significant changes have been made PFH will make these differences known at the time of booking. PFH makes every effort to maintain the accommodation to a high standard and may make occasional improvements to the specifications described on this website.
  • Please note that PFH accommodation is situated on a working farm and farming operations can sometimes give rise to potentially hazardous activity and conditions. Please be aware of any such work in your immediate vicinity and of the movements of farm machinery when entering and leaving the premises.

COMPLAINTS

  • Every effort is made by PFH to ensure that your holiday is both an enjoyable and memorable experience. We want you to return and always take notice of any helpful comments or criticism you may wish to make. If you have cause to make a complaint regarding the accommodation or of the service you have received then the proprietors would prefer you to speak to them directly as soon as the cause is apparent to enable the matter to be resolved as amicably and as efficiently as possible. If you are unable to do this for some reason then please write as soon as possible thereafter to PFH giving all relevent details, and the proprietors will investigate and advise you of any outcome as soon as possible.
