Travelling
on the A169 from Pickering, just past the bridge at Eller Beck, take the
second road on your left signposted to Grosmont and follow this road down
the hill into Grosmont village. Cross the level crossing on the NYM steam
railway and continue out of the village, over the river bridge and up the
steep hill towards Egton. At Egton turn right at the junction and then
immediately left along the road signposted to Glaisdale. Just before entering
Glaisdale the road goes down a very steep hill known as Limber Hill. This
hill has a hairpin bend at the bottom and drivers should beware of approaching
traffic tending to 'cut' the corner at this point. Please take care! Once
in the lower part of Glaisdale village, proceed along the road past a
tennis court on your left, up the hill and take the road on your left signposted
to Glaisdale Dale only. Posgate Farm is approx 1 1/2 mls further,
on the roadside.
