From
Teesside follow the A171 for approximately 15miles until you see a direction
sign indicating the village of Ugthorpe to your left. Approximately
half a mile past this junction there is a junction to your right signposted
to Lealholm and Glaisdale. Follow this road to a junction, turn right
and follow the road down into Lealholm village. Proceed over the
bridge and up the hill. Approx 1/4 mile further there is a road to your
left signposted to Glaisdale. Follow this road until you reach the centre
of Glaisdale village and carry on past the shops until you see the war
memorial on your right. Turn right down the road signposted for Glaisdale
Dale only, and carry on for approx 1 1/2 miles. Postgate Farm is on the
roadside on your left.
From
Whitby follow the A171 for approximately 8 miles until you see a direction
sign indicating the villages of Glaisdale and Egton to your left. Follow
this road for approx 1.5 miles into Egton village. Opposite the Wheatsheaf
pub on your right there is a road signposted to Glaisdale. Just
before entering Glaisdale the road goes down a very steep hill known as
Limber Hill. This hill has a hairpin bend at the bottom and drivers
should beware of approaching traffic tending to 'cut' the corner at this
point. Please take care! Once in the lower part of Glaisdale village proceed
over the road bridge, under the railway bridge and up the hill. Approx
3/4 mile further there is a war memorial and immediately past this there
is a road signposted for Glaisdale Dale only. Take this road and carry
on for approx 1 1/2 miles. Postgate Farm is on the roadside on your
left.
